Paper pumpkin {sweetie favours} tutorial

I made these fun paper pumpkins with my girls this past weekend, they really enjoyed making them...

They would make great little gifts for Halloween party's or for trick or treaters..

You will need

  • Orange card
  • Green paper or card
  • I used glitter pipe cleaners { but you could just as easily curl some paper }
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Sweets !!

Start by cutting your orange card into strips {10-12} measuring 2cm x 18cm.

Place one strip down and add a small amount of glue to the end. Add another strip on top of the first making an L shape ..

Put glue on the end of the second strip and fold over to create a loop..

Carry on going adding strips and folding over to create a loop ..

When you have almost created a circle add the sweets...

Glue your last strip into place and set aside...

Draw some different sized leaves on your green paper/card and cut out..

{ we used a crimping machine to add a crumpled effect to our leaves, but you could just as easily fold, as though you were making a fan }

Glue your leave into place on the top of your pumpkin, using a pipe cleaner twist to make some curly tendrils.. Roll tightly another pipe cleaner to make a stalk.

Leave to dry ..

Another quick way of making treat bags ..

Use a small plate to draw around orange crepe paper, cut out ..

Fill the circle with sweets..

Carefully fold the edges into the center and hold..

Using floral tape, twist around the center to make a stalk ...

Happy crafting !!
