Quick and easy cake toppers

Hello,Firstly welcome to the new look "Polkadot-Pretties"

I am so excited to share this new look with you, for me this design really represents what I have been working towards for the past year!!The colours the content everything are a true representation of me, my family, my life.

I will also be co-ordinating the look of my shop too, as well as updating the products !!!!The design credit goes to the lovely Anna @ the joy cottage, a blog definitely worth checking out..

Sidetracking for a moment, I bought an ipad3 yesterday (yippee) but I have no clue how to copy and paste yet!! So no direct links as yet :(

So back to, the cake toppers, if you stopped by my blog over the past weekend you will have read that my daughter turned 10, she loves "The Lion King" so I decided to go for a lion themed party...

I made these cute cake toppers, I made a few extra and used them to decorate her party bags too..

They were really easy and fun to make....

You will need....

• 3" or 2 1/2" scallop cutter
• 2" circle cutter
• Coloured card, I used yellow and leather brown
• Googley eyes (or you could draw on the eyes)
• Glue
• Pen
• Lolly pop or cocktail sticks..

I used the brown card to imitate the lions mane, so cut as many as you need using the scalloped cutter.

Using the cirlce cutter for the face, I used yellow card.

Glue the circle to the scalloped card, leave to dry.

Next either stick on the eyes or draw them on.Draw a nose, whiskers and mouth.Leave to dry.

Attach the lolly pop/cocktail sticks to the back of the cake topper, either with glue or tape..
